Guys... have you heard about the group Odd Eye (오드아이 - Odd Eye) that "debuted" today with their song Too Busy Imitating? Well I just saw their video and got interested in them so I went to their facebook page. I liked their music and video a lot found it very refreshing and interesting compared to all the other rookies... but finding this on their site was really a nice surprise. I was looking at the pictures and look what I just found... look.. at... the... table... OMG!... It felt like it was alright to like then a little bit more after this LOL! <3
@B1A4PR @REAVEL (Photo taken from their facebook page please give credit cause I've not seen that anyone noticed this around the B1A4 feed here or on twitter... ok... and I know who all of you like people to keep the share the credits http://goo.gl/vKY8q) I frequently see people saying that B1A4 is now copying the way that their sunbaenim dress like. That they are using the flowers and colors etc. All I can say is that B1A4 since they day they debuted have been criticized and loved for their crazy full of patterns and mix matched clothing. It is something that made them stand out on events & concerts. So to make my "point" clear enough I went around the internet and did a photo comparison of what B1A4 have been wearing since debut and what other sunbeanim whore around that time. Now... I noticed that even when they used colors NONE of them where fierce enough to do the whole nine yards crazy outfits B1A4 have always done along the years they have been active -over accessorize on some occasions and look so bright full of colors that is seems that a rainbow just puke on them and they just kept walking-. this is not to start a fandom war I'm just stating the facts. I rather believe that B1A4 rainbow inspired other companies and they tried out the concept to see if it worked with them. That is how I see it. I think that the group that tried the colors but didn't work well for them was Beast/B2ST. I was actually impressed when they came back full of colors all over them cause it was not their usual color scheme. The normally go for the neutral grey, brown, black, white and everything along those lines. They tried but it didn't suit them. Shinee... lately have been kind of wearing the same outfits that B1A4 has. Minho even wore a suit that B1A4 members also had on them on the same day and at other event they repeated the colors/patters. It just makes me wonder where are all the coordi noonas or people in charge of making their style or concept goes shopping. You should make sure that no one else has it. By doing that you can avoid getting into situations that no one wants to get caught up in. So I think that it is about time that people in charge of making the concepts thing out side the box or just do some DEEP research about what you are going to buy. It is cool to repeat accessories but WHOLE styles and outfits and then sing at an event finding out a whole groups haves the same outfit... no. 201120122013SHINee 2011-2013beast/b2st 2011-2013Infinite 2011-2013B1A4, Shogo Yagani & Yuka Chocomoo are all involded in a Fake Tokyo. I am sure we all remember this photos from Baro and Shinwoo posted some time ago via instagram and twitter. After watching this photo I went hunting and I love what I found.... art, fashion and music all in one. Today I found out about Yuka Chocomoo in the weirdest way possible. CNU and Baro took some photos here and here at this event called "Candy Pop-Up Shop Opening Party" seems it is a pop-up show (which are infact like on trend nowadays). I found information on all the parts and people on the photos so I'm going to talk about them in order. Did some research. Yey internet. Anyways Candy (the pop-up shop) is a Japanese shop that along with Sister another Japanese shop are part ofFakeTokyo.com another... shop/brand. FakeTokyo is runned by a guy named Shogo Yagani (Yaga). Yaga is from Shibuya, Tokyo. This is Mr. Shogo Yagani. Back to the story... Shogo Yagani is doing this pop-up shop in Korea to promote his shop Candy. I am sure that via his shops Candy & Sister he has provided clothing and accesories to many... many coordi-noonas and therefore Korean idols. So he is part of what is hot and trendy right now in Asia. If an idol haves it every one wants it. But they are fun and unique items so it is all good in the fashion industry. Thats why B1A4 was at the event. Even BoA said hi at their pop-up in Gangnam with her crew to support them. They are part of this trendy fashion that is moving along Asia that is actually born in Japan. You can read about FakeTokyo here. (Shogo Yagani photo was taken from here also check candy's twitter & instagram) Now lets bring in Yuka Chocomoo to the equation. She took photos with the boys at the event... but what was her roll there? Entertainment... artistic entertainment. Chocomoo is a Japanese illustrator whom is currently exposing her work in Manhattan, NY. I went through her instagram account after following her and she even haves a photo with artist/photographer JR (he is french). JR works are awesome, unique and enormous. You can check that via his instagram(where I found about him worth the following). So with that said she is getting quite popular not only in Japan but overseas. After looking to some of her illustrations it was more than clear to my why the boys had to be there besides all the promotion and support to the brand. Her illustration style is just the same of their latest album and comeback concept. They where influenced by her art along with Shogo Yagani fashion sense. B1A4 spent a lot of time in Japan last year and since they debuted they have been wearing top young and unique brands from Japan. Her illustrations are black and white (haven't seen anything in color from all the photos I saw on her blog. She uses free hand illustrations nothing is done by mold just at the moment and fill the white space with a lot of detail. Which is something that I love doing. You can see a little of Basquiat there. Also bold lines nothing straight all turned and round with text all over sending a hidden messages along the illustration. After seen her works I kind of fell in love with it and I'm looking forward to see more of her works. She was featured a few days ago in the website/magazine called the Quiet Lunch and they made an article about her exposition at New York here. If you want to know more about here you can visit her blog which is full of her amazing artworks, clothing, collaborations with other artists and her works with different magazines. To stay updated on her right here right now issues and movements go to her twitter or instagram. Hope you nejoyed this post and the photos. (photos taken from QuietLunch and Sweetstreetla) now... see the resemblance on the album art and her art? I'm sure many of their clothing are collaborations of Shogo Yagani & Chocomoo for the brands he has at FakeTokyo and Yaga's shop Candy & Sister. So if you are into fashion make sure to visit ALL the links provided above and do your fashion item hunting. I'm sure it will be fun.
NOTE! I wrote this on my personal blog. It is the exact same article I just copy/pasted here. So if you are going to use it you must link. I wanted to share the link from mi blog on facebook but facebook is not letting me therefore I "transferred" the post here so I can share it around facebook to those that are interested on B1A4 fashion and the new album design besides calling it pretty and trendy. Hello BANA!...
I have been kind of buys but I'm back. Doing a lot of thinking about how International fans are looked upon at Korea and the KPop events. I don't really know if WM Entertainment actually cares about of International fans to the point of making us official fans. I think that even when we wont be able to attend their events, performances and be there physically our weight at does have the same value of those that can do all the things mentioned before. Perhaps the old Hallyu Wave was more protective of their artist but now in 2013 it is all about bee global and crossing oceans. I do hope that not only WM Entertainment but all companies take note of our presence not only when buying and album or voting for B1A4 to help them get a an award or win. I know they know about it but that doesn't seem fair enough. We buy their albums and merchandise that gets reflected on their numbers and statistics. it shows on the boards and everything. I don't know what this companies are waiting to acknowledge international fan and give us some reply and talk to us. We want to be organized. We want to be able to represent our fandoms in our countries. We work hard to send them gifts make charity events on their behalf and what are we getting from all this from the company... nothing. I thought that WM Entertainment would at least take note of the people that are registered on Google Plus and the BANA community but after the event they haven't posted a thing. They have us talking and supporting everything non there is no word of encouragement to our hard work. Perhaps I'm getting a little frustrated but I think that all all KPop fans at some point does feel this way like not loved and wanted. I know Jinyoung, Shinwoo, Sandeul, Baro and Gongchan might be out of the equation regarding the status of international fans but I think we should start somewhere since B1A4 is still a young groups I think we can or should get together and ask for them to consider us. We don't need all the requirements for attending events and such but we really want to feel like we are really part of BANA. The can create a special kind of group for us. At least make a subgroup of fans just let us feel more closer and really part of them. I am sure the kids would like that too. They all cherish BANA and look forward to please us just the same way we are eager to please and help them out every time. I myself am old for all this kid of fandom thing but I on the group that I manage the majority are kids from 13- 20 that live might can't afford every single item but they get it with their hard work. They make sure the watch the shows and share everything that B1A4 have given to them with the people around them. I don't want to stop buying albums just because I don't feel wanted on a fandom. I think it is time that Korean companies stop what they are doing and break the mold. Work with your fans no matter from where they are. Adjust to their needs and believe me you will have THE STRONGEST army behind your group. If you don't make them feel like thew belong to someplace they WILL leave you to die alone. They already get into the songs, they live every pain and suffering. If BANA international wasn't thinking of been part of something bigger that will be good for B1A4 do you think there would be so many unofficial fandoms waiting to be called OFFICIAL by the company. Without been official they put a lot of extra work and efforts to support the group. I don't know I just hope WM Entertainment gives us BANA International the chance to be called OFFICIAL BANA and not just leave us hanging on the corner cheering with our cards and light sticks wishing we where born in Korea only so that we can be part of the FAMILY. Ge us some credit please. I think that by now you know we mean business. And a really good for both sides. This is ONLY my personal opinion. I love B1A4 with all my heart but I also want to be an Official BANA. Times are changing and you need to get GLOBAL. So what are you waiting for. Make the boys stronger. You might be surprised at all the army that B1A4 has around the world. We are here just need to give us a light and we will move towards you. |
