B1A4’s Baro has been cast in MBC’s upcoming drama Angry Mom. According to WM Entertainment, B1A4’s agency, on January 29, Baro will be acting as the high school student Hong Sang Tae on Angry Mom. As the son of CEO Hong, the head of Myung Seong Foundation, Baro acts like a model student but in reality, he is at the top of the ladder in classrooms, powerful enough to control the leader of the school gangs. He then meets Ah Ram (Kim Yoo Jung) who clashes with him in every single thing he does, by saying the rightful things. Having acted as ‘Bing Geu Rae’ in tvN’s drama Reply 1994 in 2014, Baro showed his upgraded and mature acting through SBS’ God’s Gift, playing the mentally disabled character. He also challenged himself with dubbing the animation The 7th Dwarf in 2014, showing his talents in various fields. As the winning piece of MBC’s scripts contest, Angry Mom is about a young mom, who dominated Busan in the past as the leader of school gangs, returning to school in order to protect her child suffering from school violence. It will be directed by Choi Byung Gil PD, who produced East of Eden, Man in Love, A Little Love Never Hurts and more. Angry Mom will begin in March, following Kill Me, Heal Me. © mwave
