B1A4 expressed its gratitude and love towards the fans. B1A4 met with Newsen for an interview on July 18 at the waiting room of KBS 2TV’s Music Bank, sharing its thoughts on making a comeback after six months by releasing the new title song Solo Day. Having released 5th mini album Solo Day on July 14, B1A4 has been promoting the title song of the same name. The members participated in writing and producing the entire album, proving themselves as true artists. About making a comeback in six months, Jin Young said, “I personally feel like it’s been a while since we began promotions. I know that the fans have been waiting and anticipating out album too. Thanks to the fans who have ben waiting and cheering for us, we’ve been enjoying presenting our stages. I feel more excited than nervous.” Jin Young took charge of writing and composing the title song Solo Day as well as the tracks You Make Me a Fool, You, A Glass of Water and Are You Happy. CNU wrote the song Drive and Baro participated in writing the lyrics for Solo Day, Are You Happy, A Glass of Water and You Make Me a Fool. When asked if Solo Day is based on his own experience, Jin Young answered, “That’s sort of a sad question,” and added, “It’s not based on my experience. The song came out as it is in the process of creation. Solo Day is actually not a song only for the singles but a song to help heal all lonely people.” Jin Young added, “I think everyone feels lonely at least once in their life. I hope the song can help heal them during those moments.” B1A4 is often named as a ‘kind’ or ‘good’ idol among the other singers or staff members. About this, Baro said, “I didn’t know that people thought of us in that way. I’m personally still shy when I’m with the fans. We’re entering our 4th year since the debut but when I hear the fans shouting out that I look handsome or cheering for us, I don’t know how I should respond to that.” Baro continued, “But the fans make us feel comfortable. Thanks to the fans, we can talk more naturally and comfortably. It’s all thanks to the fans. Now we even joke around and have conversations with each other. I think that’s what the fans wanted to see from us.” About the goal of this album’s activities, San Deul said, “I would like to see good results since we worked hard. It hasn’t been long since we began promotions so I would like to work hard and show our good sides by meeting with the fans.” CNU said, “The album is already out but I think many people still haven’t heard our songs yet. I believe if they hear our songs more frequently, good results will naturally follow. I personally think so many awesome singers returned so I don’t know if we can get good results. I will do my best, without setting high expectations.” Photo credit: CJ E&M, WM Entertainment / mwave.interest.me B1A4 is celebrating Solo Day everyday. On the July 25 broadcast of KBS Cool FM Jo Jung Chi and Jang Dong Min′s 2 O′Clock, the B1A4 members talked about their agency′s ban on relationships. When asked about whether such a ban exists for the group by Jang Dong Min, the members all answered "yes" and added that everyone is currently single. "There′s a reason we write such songs [as Solo Day]," they said. Jang Dong Min teased, "If you′re saying this when you′re not really single, your girlfriends will be on you soon." The members answered, "They would understand, since their boyfriends are idols." B1A4 has been promoting its new single Solo Day on July 14.
